Oil Sands Giant to Acquire Petro-Can in $15B Deal

Suncor and Petro-Canada have agreed to merge in a $15 billion deal and will continue operating under the Suncor name. The deal is expected to be completed in Q3 2009. This will combine two of the largest oil sands operators in Alberta, and may be one of several future oil sands mergers, according to industry observers.
